Conference on “One Health and Protection of Coasts: Ecological and Legal Issues”
The international conference “One health and protection of coasts: ecological and legal issues” was held on 3 October 2025 at the Museo Nazionale Romano, Teatro di Palazzo Altemps in Rome. Organized by the Institute for Global Health Emergencies Response (IGHER) of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO) and the Law Department of the University of Urbino Carlo Bo, in cooperation with the OneHealthConference and the Global Pandemic Network, the event brought together legal scholars, policy makers, and scientists to discuss the protection of coasts through the One Health approach.
The conference highlighted the interconnections between ecological, medical, environmental, animal, and human issues and showcased the relevance of applying the One Health perspective to strengthen political and legal decision-making. It also presented insights from the ongoing PRIN PNRR project “From Beaches to Coasts: towards an Integrated Protection of the Coasts – BeProCoasts.”
The organizers expressed their appreciation to all speakers, participants, and partner institutions for contributing to the rich exchange of knowledge and perspectives.
